Thank you to Barry Kelland for 14 years fantastic service on the
Gerald David & Family butcher's counter at Darts Farm!
In April we celebrated Barry's time at Darts Farm with 350 Staff, family, friends and customers. After a delicious Hog Roast and a few glasses of wine we heard stories of Barry's dedication and passion during his time at Darts Farm and presented him with a beautiful watercolour of 'Barry the Butcher at Darts Farm' by local artist Sarah Bell. Everyone will miss him tremendously, but we are thankful to have known him and know that he will love being with his family in Australia.
Customer thoughts...
"Barry is remarkable, because as a manager of a business he was always the first there to look after you. Nothing was ever too much trouble and as a real foodie none of my tricky requests were too much. I have never met a man at his level of management that delivered the goods as he did or cared about his customers so much. A remarkable human being who deserves all the good that comes to him".
John Highly-Payne, Darts Farm customer for 30 years
"Barry and I have a mutual understanding of how hard each other works. Barry always knows what to say and when and always remembers each of his customer's personal interests. Deep down he is a big family man and can't wait to join his family in Australia. I'm sure he'll keep in touch and we wish him all the best for a very happy future".
