We're seeking a chef (Commis-SCDP) to join our growing, ambitious team in The Farm Table. The Farm Table is Darts Farm's 70 cover fresh food restaurant, recently awarded higher membership in The Trencherman's Guide, winner of Best Newcomer with FOOD Magazine, one AA rosette & shortlisted for Food & Travel Magazine Restaurant of the Year (Outside London).

We need someone genuinely passionate about seasonality, sustainability & provenance. Our menu evolves each week to the tune of the farm & fields around us, using fresh vegetables, beef & honey from the farm along with onsite butchery, cidery, vineyard, gelato & chocolatier.

We have flexible rotas, with chefs working 48 hours per week made up of three 7-hour shifts and two 13 hour shifts across weekdays & weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in weekly menu development
Adhere to health & hygiene standards
Completing assigned work for the day, MEP List
Stock and equipment management
Working with our satellite pizza kitchen to coordinate service
Working to agreed costings & plating standards
Accountability for stock to ensure minimal waste

REQUIREMENTS:

We're looking for someone who's genuinely passionate about produce, provenance & sustainability
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Curiosity & appetite for learning
2 years plus in fresh food kitchens
Commis-SCDP, depending on the person and performance on a trial day will depend on the wage and role offered.
