We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced pizza chef to lead our woodfired kitchen within The Farm Table restaurant, preparing small plates, woodfired dishes & sourdough pizzas for the restaurant, adjoining café and takeaway.

Our menu has a strong emphasis on seasonality, local & artisan food, with produce coming straight from our farm or food hall. You will work alongside The Farm Table Head Chef to evolve the woodfired menu throughout the seasons.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Flexible rotas with 5 x 9 hour shifts per week (8:30am - 5:30pm or 12pm - 10pm) working weekdays & weekends, usually 2 evenings per week.
  • The woodfired kitchen works alongside the main Farm Table kitchen. You'll be managing & training a team of 5, with the support of the Farm Table Head Chef.
  • Leading & engaging in menu development.
  • Management of joint stock areas; dry store, fridge, freezer.
  • Responsible for maintaining health & hygiene standards including allergen sheets & other company policies.
  • Fostering a positive working environment, nurturing & developing staff.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The woodfired kitchen is an open kitchen within the restaurant. You must be well presented & confident engaging with staff & guests.
  • You must be a strong communicator & have great interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for good food & drink is essential.
  • We will provide basic Food Hygiene Training & Certification if you don't already have it.
  • The ability to remain composed & thrive under pressure in a busy environment.
