Role Overview

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable greengrocer. The right person will be responsible for the quality, presentation, and customer experience in the fresh produce department. You will play a vital role in creating beautiful displays, maintaining high standards, helping & advising customers and communicating with our farm team & local suppliers.

The role is 40 hours per week, usually working 7:30am to 4pm.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with a warm, helpful approach, sharing your knowledge about produce, its origins, nutritional benefits, and seasonal availability.
Manage fresh produce stock including ordering, receiving, unpacking deliveries, and ensuring produce is fresh, well-presented, and rotated appropriately to minimise waste.
Maintain attractive and engaging displays that highlight the quality and local provenance of our fruit and vegetables.
Collaborate with the wider team to deliver an exceptional shopping experience that reflects Darts Farm’s values and commitment to local artisan food.
Assist with general shop duties including maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the produce area and shop floor.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
