Our Exe Estuary is so beautifully unique; from city to sea, there is so much to discover and the best way to explore all of it is by bike!

Here at Darts Farm, we seem to have found ourselves in the perfect location, at the start and finish of the 26-mile loop.

Along the trail there are so many different routes you can take; all varying in length and difficulty. There are plenty of places to stop for refuel along the route; The Turf Locks, River Exe Café, Mickeys, the list goes on! Also, there are plenty of little shortcuts and ferries you can jump on; from Starcross to Exmouth and Mike’s Ferry at Topsham.

Our bikes are handmade British classics. If you see yourself on a heritage model such as a Pashley or a Dawes tandem, you’ve come to the right place.

Pack up a picnic

Fuel your adventure with local treats

Our food hall is always a feast for the senses but comes into its own when you’re looking for delicious, locally produced treats to pack up and ride off with.

Obvious choices to pack into your hamper are flavoursome; Quicke’s cheeses and Vicky’s bread, Darts Farm honey roast ham, homemade seasonal salads from our Field Kitchen, and some super-sweet tomatoes grown on the Isle of Wight. A picnic wouldn’t be a picnic without a pie, so check out Chunk of Devon’s Squealer Pork Pies, made in Exeter. Finish by loading up with some fresh fruit for the journey (and some sweet treats)!
