September is upon us and Autumn is in the air, with it brings the hedgerow berries and a period of some of the most fantastic seasonal fruit and vegetables. Our own grown produce cart is bursting at the seems with vegetables from our fields and the local fruit farms that supply us are starting to bring in the first of their apple and plum harvest.

The butchers are looking forward to the arrival of the game season, its Oyster time for the Fish Shed and the guys at Green Valley Cyder are busy preparing for their pressing period, starting at the end of September - pop along to the farm shop to see them carrying out their traditional cyder pressing methods. 

It's also the time of year for 'Celebration of Food', the biggest food festival of its kind, with events happening throughout the Westcountry all based around our regions food and drink. See our Food Club events and find out how to join in the celebrations this autumn.
