We're looking for a full-time Sous Chef to join the team in our iconic Yard Restaurant. You'll be supporting the Head & Senior Sous Chef with the smooth operation of the kitchen, working on sections and running shifts when required.

Over the past 20 years that Yard has built a reputation for being one of the most popular restaurants in Devon. We champion seasonal, local produce either from our own farm or farm shop.

We need a positive team player, someone who enjoys the buzz of a busy environment and is eager to learn and grow within the Darts Farm family.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To support the Head & Sr Sous chef with kitchen operations.
Running shifts when required.
Ordering & inventory management.
To be fully aware of all Health and Safety policy and procedures relevant to your role and department.
To be fully aware of the Company’s Food policy and food handlers’ responsibilities in line with legislation and contractual obligations.
To ensure exceptional standards of service are consistently achieved.
To carry out kitchen duties in a professional and detail orientated manner, reporting to the Head & Sr Sous chefs.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work as part of a team, with good communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude.
Experience within a busy kitchen environment & ability to work well under pressure.
