Raw honey, straight from the Bee Hives, naturally has antioxidants, enzymes and other beneffiialy compounds. Supermarket honey with an everlasting shelf life may seem great, but in fact it has a significantly lower amount of nutrients due to the varoius proscceses of pasturasing and added sweetners, resulting in a proccessed product. A study published by Food Chemistry details that Raw honey contains nearly 4.3 times more antioxidants than processed supermarket honey.
Raw honey tends to have a varied flavour depending on the pollen source provided be the Bees whereas regular supermarket bought honey has a more uniform flavour. Supermarket shelve honey has a much smoother and runnier compared to raw honey which has a numerous amount of natural particles kept in the honey creating a thicker texture.
Local raw honey is packed with natural nutrients, including essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Its anti-inflammatory effects may help lower the risk of chronic conditions over time. Raw honey contains traces of local pollen and regular consumption can support your body’s tolerance to Pollen related allergies. Raw honey also aids digestion and can help soothe mild digestive discomfort.
