Many of the season’s small, magical moments involve chocolate… shared around the table, savoured by the fire, or tucked into a stocking.
For centuries, chocolate has been imported and processed with little connection to the farms where it began. Here at Darts Farm, we’re one of the few UK producers crafting chocolate entirely from bean to bar - part of a movement carving a path for chocolate that’s celebrated for its flavour, craftsmanship and provenance.
Sacks of cacao sourced from small-scale growers in the world’s finest regions are roasted, winnowed and conched on-site. The chocolate is then aged in 5kg blocks and from here we create single origin bars, truffles and festive treats.
The warm scent of chocolate in the making drifts through the farm shop more often than ever during the festive season, as Louise and the team of chocolatiers mould bars, hand-dip truffles and chop flakes of indulgent hot chocolate, while the latest single origin beans slowly transform into chocolate in the conche.
It’s this care and craft that make our festive range so special. Christmas Truffle Boxes capture the flavours of Christmas with salted single-origin, orange hazelnut, chocolate liqueur and Christmas pudding. Fruit and Nut Chocolate Wreaths make a show stopping centrepiece for sharing. And for stocking stuffers, nothing beats our Penguin Chocolate Buttons.
