Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary

The Bloody Mary is the perfect summer drink, its refreshing and savory, with a cool, spicy kick that suits warm weather. Its ingredients help replenish electrolytes, making it great for daytime sipping or brunch. Served over ice with crisp garnishes like celery or cucumber, it’s both hydrating and satisfying, ideal for relaxing in the sun.

Best of all, it’s simple and easy to make with just a few basic ingredients like vodka, tomato juice, lemon, and spices, and can be customised to suit any taste.

Ingredients

  • 90ml tomato juice
  • 60ml Darts Farm Devon Vodka
  • 3 dashes (or more to taste) Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • Dash of hot sauce (to taste)
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • Celery stalk, to serve
  • Lime wedges, to serve
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 7 ice cubes

Method

  1. Start by rubbing a lemon wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten it, pour an even amount of kosher salt onto a plate then dip the rim of the glass in the kosher salt to coat. Set the glass aside while you mix your drink.
  2. Pour the the tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt & pepper into a shaker with some of the ice and shake, shake, shake!
  3. Once shaken well, strain into a highball glass over the remaining ice cubes.
  4. Garnish with lime wedges and a few pieces of celery stalk.

Top tip: If you do not have a cocktail shaker, you can stir all of the ingredients together in a jug or large glass, making sure everything is well mixed!
