With the help of our amazing customers and suppliers, we have raised nearly £2,500 to give Easter tuck boxes to families in need this Easter. Exceeding all of our expectations, we are now able to send a treat to so many more families than we could have imagined!
Michael Dart - “We’ve been astounded by the generosity of our customers and incredible producer friends to this worthwhile cause. Their help will enable us to provide more tuck boxes to Exeter Foodbank to distribute to the vulnerable in our community over the coming weeks. We hope our boxes will send some cheer to them during this difficult time.” He continues: “It’s also great to be able to support many of our local artisan producers who are struggling with the closure of pubs, cafes and restaurants and have been delisted from supermarkets in melt down, needing to simplify their product range.“
Director of Exeter Foodbank Mark responds: “We’re so grateful to Darts Farm for organising these thoughtful treats for the vulnerable in our area. We also want to thank all the people who have donated to the cause and to the fantastic local producers who have provided such delicious products, it’s very much appreciated. We have already had some incredible feedback and they really are making a difference to people’s lives at this difficult time”
Each Easter tuck box contains a variety of fresh fruit and veg from Darts Farm, delicious treats from Moores Biscuits, Kernow Chocolate and Buxton Cakes, plus savoury snacks from Burts Chips and Good Game Salami. Everyday staples such as Brew Tea Bags and Ryders Bakery Hot Cross Buns were included plus Luscombe Drinks.
It’s not too late to donate, donations can be made on our website here, in store and over the phone.
