It wouldn't be a proper Jubilee celebration without an amazing selection of artisan food & drink from our food hall. We have created a guide to help you create the ultimate tuck in for your family & friends...
Our cellar is a reflection of the experiences we've had over the past 25 years and is brimming with incredible tipples from local brewers, small batch cider makers and family run vineyards that make for a truly special occasion. Here are a few of the drinks that we will be enjoying a glass of over the long weekend...
When it comes to wine, we may be biased but we think our Head Winemaker, Alex, produces something pretty special, whether you are popping open a bottle of Pebblebed Sparkling Rose to enjoy with a cream tea, or enjoying a still Pebblebed White, Rose or Red with your evening feast.
For something extra special, pop open a bottle of Vauversin Grand Cru Champagne - crafted by Laurent on his 3 hectare, family vineyard in the village of Oger.
Whether you're enjoying a G&T or getting creative making cocktails, it has to be Salcombe Start Point Gin, Cove Vodka or Devon Rum!
As Devonians we live in the Champagne of the cider world - here are just a few of our favourites for the Jubilee weekend; Sandford Orchards Devon Red, Ridge & Furrow, Heron Valley Sparkling and Four Elms Devon Ridge. For something a little different, we would recommend Sandford Orchards Katja, an amazing prosecco style cider!
As we head into summer we are enjoying the bright IPA's and pale ales from the best, local, small-scale brewers in the world. For the Jubilee, we will be sipping on Exeter Brewery Avocet, Hanlon’s Yellow Hammer, Otter Bright, Utopian British Lager & Salcombe Shingle Bay!
We will certainly be championing classic British flavours such as elderflower & apple over the long weekend; from Luscombe Elderflower Bubbly & Sicilian Lemonade, Hullabaloos Raspberry Lemonade, Frobisher’s Lemon & Mint Cordial, Urban Cordial Apple & Blackberry and of course, Shute Fruit Elderflower Cordial!

For us, there is always an artisan cheese & charcuterie board at the centre of any feast. For a royally good cheeseboard, it has to be Isle of Mull Cheddar, Baron Bigod, Shropshire Blue & Graceburn - accompanied by Tracklement's Right Royal Pickle and The Fine Cheese Co Crackers!
Of course, we would have to go for Good Game Bresaola - crafted using beautiful Ruby Red beef from our own herd - along with our homecooked Honey Roast Ham.
To create the ultimate grazing experience, we would add Burts Hand-Cooked Crisps, Mr Filbert's Nuts, Cheddar Gorge Cheese Straws, Howdah Snacks, Blanco Nino Tortilla Chips, Seggiano Grissini, Lapsnack Chilli Puffs, The Little Herb Farm Sweet Chilli Sauce & Houmous!
Nothing completes a Great British celebration like a proper cream tea. You really can't beat a Ryder's Scone topped with a dollop of Gundenham Dairy Clotted Cream and Waterhouse Fayre Jubilee Jam. There is only one question, cream or jam first?
Some other British classics would have to include Devon Meringues and Anthony Thorne Strawberries with Cow & Cacao Littlepod Vanilla Gelato. Not forgetting the all important tea and cake; perhaps one of Mrs Gills Jubilee Cupcakes or a Buxton Lemon and Elderflower Loaf, accompanied by Robert Wilson Earl Grey or Tregothnan British Tea!
For extra indulgence; our Expert Chocolatier Louise has been busy handcrafting Cow & Cacao Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel & Hazelnut Praline Gold Bars that are perfect for sharing - along with our limited edition Cow & Cacao Jubilee Truffles; lemon curd, earl grey, strawberries & cream and honey!
Our Master Butchers Phillip & Alastair have been dry-ageing our own Ruby Red beef ready to create something extra special for the 70th Jubilee. Pop in before your Jubilee celebrations 70 Day Dry-Aged Ruby Red Sirloins!
If you're barbecueing, make light work of it with one of our barbecue selection boxes; complete with Creedy Carver free-range chicken, our homemade pork sausages, pork ribs and homemade beef burgers, along with all of the accompaniments - from Ogleshield cheese to Shillingford Organic Salad!
A super exciting announcement!
We love reducing, reusing and recycling!
